Japan’s government may opt to return some of its increased tax revenues to the people via direct tax cuts, the ruling party’s second-in-command told reporters, according to Kyodo News.
- LDP Secretary General Toshimitsu Motegi was speaking in Tokyo on Tuesday about an economic package the government is set to draw up by the end of the month
- Motegi said it was a matter of course to make the maximum use of increased revenues and return benefits to the people
