Japan National Tax Agency Issues Guidance on Corporate Tax Act Interpretations

The Japanese National Tax Agency May 30 issued guidance on revisions to the interpretation of the Corporate Income Tax Act. The revisions include the interpretations of: 1) the accounting period in which to recognize revenues from asset sales; and 2) accounting rules for product returns and long-term installment contracts.
