Japan Tax Agency Clarifies Deadline Extension for Filing Income, Consumption Tax Returns

The Japanese National Tax Agency March 16 posted online a clarification on the deadline extension for filing income and consumption tax returns. The clarification explains that the payment transfer date from a savings account is: 1) May 31 for income tax declarations filed between March 16 and April 15; and 2) May 26 for consumption tax declarations filed by sole proprietors between April 1 and April 15.
