Jersey Assembly Considers Bill to Amend Minimum Wage Offset Rates on Employer-Provided Food, Accommodations

The Jersey States Assembly Oct. 5 accepted for consideration Bill No. P.99/2022, to amend the minimum wage offset rates for food and accommodation benefits provided by an employer, effective Jan. 1, 2023. The bill includes measures to increase the maximum weekly offset rates to: 1) 115 Jersey pounds (US$130) from 91 pounds (US$103) for accommodations; 2) 153 pounds (US$173) from 121 pounds (US$137) for food and accommodations; 3) 86 pounds (US$97) from 68 pounds (US$77) for trainees’ accommodations; and 4) 115 pounds (US$126) from 91 pounds (US$100) for trainees’ food and accommodations.
