The Jordanian Income and Sales Tax Department April 13 announced the April 30 deadline to file and pay 2024 individual income taxes. The announcement includes that: 1) individual income tax returns must be filed and paid electronically; 2) employees with monthly salary or wage income must file returns, regardless of employer withholding, if their total annual income exceeds 9,000 Jordanian dinars (US$12,688) for taxpayers not claiming dependents, or 18,000 dinars (US$25,377) for taxpayers claiming dependents; and 3) retirees with monthly pension income exceeding 2,500 dinars (US$3,524) must file 2024 income tax returns.
