Jordan Tax Agency Posts Schedules Setting Sales Tax Rates, Exemptions

The Jordanian Income and Sales Tax Department Dec. 12 posted online schedules containing sales tax rates and exemptions for specified goods and services. The schedules include measures: 1) applying the standard rate of 10 percent, and reduced rates of 5 percent, 4 percent, and 2 percent, for listed food products and household items; and 2) allowing partial and full exemptions, or applying a zero rate, on specific services and transactions.
