Judge Tosses Toronto Firm’s Bid To Challenge Access to Tax Court

A Toronto company seeking to challenge who can go to court to file disability tax credit claims lost its suit after a judge determined she doesn’t have jurisdiction to hear the case.

Canadian law prevents the Federal Court of Appeal from hearing appeals from the Tax Court of Canada that relate to that court’s informal procedure for resolving disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency, Federal Court of Appeal Justice Judith Woods said in a judgment published Wednesday.
