The Kazakh Official Gazette Dec. 2, 2021, published Law No. 77-VII RKZ, the 2022-24 budget law. The law includes measures: 1) setting the monthly minimum wage at 60,000 Kazakh tenges (US$121); 2) setting the monthly subsistence minimum for the calculation of basic social payments at 36,018 tenges (US$73); 3) setting the amount of state contributions to compulsory social health insurance at 1.7 percent; and 4) increasing the age-related pension benefits by 7 percent.
