Kazakhstan Tax Agency Announces Monthly Calculation Index for Determining Taxes Under 2024-26 Budget

The Kazakhstani State Revenue Committee Dec. 7 announced the monthly calculation index (MCI) for determining taxes and other obligatory payments under the 2024-26 budget. The announcement includes measures to: 1) establish the MCI to 3,692 Kazakhstani tenges (US$8), effective Jan. 1, 2024; 2) apply the MCI to the calculation of income adjustments, tax deductions, and income not considered as income subject to individual income tax; and 3) apply the MCI to determine the maximum income for the application of special tax regimes from 2024.
