Kenya to levy 16% Value Added Tax on LPG effective July 1

Cooking gas will no longer be zero-rated in East Africa’s biggest economy, Kenya Revenue Authority says in emailed response to questions.

  • “We cannot at the moment, provide a reliable estimate on the revenue expected to be raised from the imposition of VAT on LPG”
