Latvia Gazettes Amendments to Law on Vehicle Operation Tax, Company Light Vehicle Tax

The Latvian Official Gazette Dec. 19 published a law amending the Law on Vehicle Operation Tax and Company Light Vehicle Tax. The law includes measures: 1) specifying the vehicle operating taxes on motorcycles, passenger cars, trucks, and buses, based on weight, size, and emission levels; and 2) updating the notice and vehicle registration requirements. The law enters into force Jan. 1, 2025. [Latvia, Official Gazette, 12/19/24]
