Latvia Tax Agency Announces Consultation on Amendments to VAT Rules Under EU Directives

The Latvian State Revenue Service June 17 announced a consultation on proposed amendments to VAT based on EU directives for a call-of-stock regime. The draft regulations include measures to: 1) amend VAT reporting for warehousing within the EU; 2) consider the transfer of goods for warehousing within the EU a call-of-stock rather than the supply of goods if the transferor and transferee are registered in at least one EU jurisdiction and report the movement of goods.
