Lawmakers to Analyze HMRC’s Big Business Tax Compliance Approach

UK lawmakers launched an inquiry into the tax authority’s compliance approach toward large businesses and whether it is “delivering value for money.”

The UK Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee will take evidence from senior officials at His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs in parallel with an inquiry by the UK’s public spending watchdog into the “processes surrounding large business tax compliance,” it said on Friday.

The committee has invited public submissions on the issue until March 5, 2026.
