The Lithuanian Official Gazette June 20 published Law No. XV-283, on the Security Contribution Law. The law includes measures: 1) establishing the conditions for taxing insurance premiums as social security contributions (SSCs); 2) explaining that specified insurers must pay SSCs quarterly; 3) applying a 10 percent security deposit rate to security deposit bases; 4) clarifying which insurance premiums are exempt from security deposit payments; and 5) explaining the calculation, declaration, and payment procedures for social security deposits.
