Lithuania Parliament Considers Bill to Amend VAT Law

The Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) June 15 accepted for consideration Bill No. XIVP-1309 (2), to amend the VAT law. The bill includes measures to: 1) apply a 5 percent reduced VAT rate for the supply of firewood and wood products for heating, electricity, and natural gas; and 2) repeal the 9 percent reduced VAT rate provision for firewood and wood products supplied to household energy consumers.
