Lithuania Parliament Considers Bill to Reduce VAT for Thermal Energy

The Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) Sept. 30 accepted for consideration Bill No. XIVP-892, to set a 5 percent reduced VAT rate for thermal energy and natural gas supplied to household energy consumers, applicable until May 1, 2022. The law would enter into force Jan. 1, 2022. [Lithuania, Parliament, 09/30/21]
