Lithuania Parliament Considers Bill to Reduce VAT Rate on Specific Services Provided by Performers

The Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) Oct. 28 accepted for consideration Bill No. XIVP-2213, to reduce the VAT rate to zero percent from 9 percent on performance services provided by an actor, singer, musician, conductor, dancer, or other person acting, singing, reading, reciting, or otherwise performing works of literature, art, folklore, or circus numbers. The bill is drafted in response to the economic and energy crisis. The law would enter into force Jan. 1, 2023. [Lithuania, Parliament, 10/28/22]
