Lithuania Tax Agency Clarifies Taxpayers’ Obligation to Report Foreign Bank Accounts

The Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate Sept. 6 clarified taxpayers’ obligations to report information on foreign bank accounts. Corporate or individual Lithuanian resident taxpayers with annual income greater than 15,000 euros (US$17,500) from a foreign financial institution must file form FR0526 within five business days of the date the foreign account is opened or closed.
