Macau Economy Ministry Announces Tax Obligations for August 2025

The Macanese Secretary of Economy and Finance Aug. 1 announced tax obligations for August 2025. The announcement includes: 1) the requirement for hotels, dance halls, bars, health clubs, steam baths, massage parlors, and karaoke bars to file monthly returns and pay a 5 percent tourism tax for July; 2) the exemption for restaurants from tourism tax filing and payment requirements; 3) the requirement to pay property tax, and the non-eligibility of entities, individual business owners, and nonresidents for the 3,500 Macanese patacas (US$433) property tax deduction; and 4) the requirement for individuals and entities selling new motor vehicles to file ...
