Macau Expects 28m Tourists, Better Gaming Tax Revenue This Year

Macau is confident that the number of tourists to visit the city this year will reach 28 million, according to Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wai Nong.

• Number of tourists from Jan. to Nov. has exceeded 25 million
• Macau’s overall recovery is progressing well and tourists’ consumption has increased
• Gaming tax revenue from Jan. to Nov. has risen to 164.4 billion patacas, and the FY tax revenue is expected to surpass projections
