The Malaysian Customs Department April 17 posted online Service Policy No. 10/2020, announcing a service tax exemption on locally provided digital, financial, and banking services. The announcement includes: 1) a list of exempt service providers; 2) a list of non-exempt service providers, including nonresident providers; and 3) the service tax adjustment plan, including that no refunds are available for taxes paid.
