Malaysia Gazettes Order Increasing Tax Exemption Threshold for Childcare Allowances

The Malaysian Official Gazette Dec. 27 published Order No. P.U. (A) 399, increasing the tax exemption threshold to 3,000 Malaysian ringgit (US$651) from 2,400 ringgit (US$520) for childcare allowances. The order takes effect from assessment year 2024. [Malaysia, Official Gazette, 12/27/23]
