The Malaysian Inland Revenue Board April 29 announced the extension, to May 15 from April 30, of the income tax electronic filing deadline for assessment year 2025, for specific nonbusiness taxpayers. The announcement includes that: 1) the extension applies to individuals, establishments, estates, and Hindu undivided families, not carrying out business; and 2) penalties under Income Tax Act 1967 apply for late filing and non-filing.
