Malaysia Tax Agency Announces Entry Into Force, Effective Date of New DTA, Protocol With Russia

The Malaysian Inland Revenue Board May 18 announced that the new DTA and protocol with Russia, signed May 17, 2024, entered into force Sept. 3, 2025, and took effect Jan. 1, 2026. The new DTA and protocol replace the 1987 DTA and protocol between the countries. [Malaysia, Inland Revenue Board, 05/18/26]
