The Malaysian Inland Revenue Board June 29 announced deadlines for various income tax returns due to the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement includes: 1) a two-month deadline extension for companies, including petroleum entities, cooperatives, partnerships, limited liability companies, and trusts filing 2020 tax returns for the Oct. 1, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2020, accounting period and 2021 tax returns for the Jan. 1 to Jan. 31 period; 2) an extension to Aug. 31 for individuals, partnerships, organizations, and estates to file 2020 assessment year returns; and 3) an extension to July 31 for June advance income tax payments.
