Malta Gazettes Legal Notice Setting 2026 Weekly Minimum Wage Rates for Young Employees

The Maltese Official Gazette Dec. 22, 2025, published Legal Notice No. 289/2025, setting weekly minimum wage rates for young employees, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The legal notice includes weekly minimum wage rates of: 1) 229.44 euros (US$268.08) for employees the age of 18 years or older; 2) 222.66 euros (US$260.15) for employees the age of 17; and 3) 219.82 euros (US$256.84) for employees the age of 17 years or younger.
