Mauritius Tax Agency Announces Phase II Launch of VAT E-Invoicing Portal for Economic Operators

The Mauritian Revenue Authority Jan. 29 announced that Phase II of the economic operator portal launch is underway for operators with turnover over 100 million Mauritian rupees (US$2.2 million), and for whom notice has issued to join the VAT e-invoicing system. The announcement includes that: 1) operators can start registering on the e-invoicing portal and voluntarily issuing fiscal invoices if they have customized their electronic billing system (EBS) to comply with the Tax Agency’s e-invoicing criteria; 2) operators who have not customized their EBS must do so immediately to issue invoices; 3) mandatory e-invoicing is scheduled to start on May ...
