Mexico Confirms Raquel Buenrostro as Head of Tax Authority

Raquel Buenrostro Sanchez, a close ally of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, is the new head of Mexico’s tax authority.

Buenrostro joins the tax authority as Mexico, which collects the lowest taxes in the OECD, starts implementing changes to its tax rules, including its income tax law, value-added tax, and the Federal Fiscal Code. She is a former senior finance ministry official,
