Mexico Expands List of Businesses Facing Tax Audits in Crackdown

Mexico’s tax authority expanded the list of businesses that could see a tax audit if they’re paying less that the average effective tax rate for their industry.

Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) released guidance on Sunday that lists 79 types of businesses that could get caught in the government’s latest effort to crack down on tax avoidance and evasion.
