Mexico Tax Revenue Collection Up Nearly 6% on Last Year

Mexico’s revenue collection efforts brought in around 190 billion pesos last month, a 5.9% increase in real terms from the same time last year, the tax authority said Tuesday.

Revenue collection efficiency has surged 134% since August 2018 driven by the implementation of incentives for prompt payment of tax obligations, improved collection of outstanding debts and tools to allow contributors to correct errors, the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) said in a press release.
