Moldova Parliament Considers Bill to Amend Various Acts Regarding Fiscal Measures

The Moldovan Parliament Dec. 2 accepted for consideration Bill No. 386, to amend various acts regarding fiscal measures. The bill includes measures to: 1) allow electricity producers to deduct expenses incurred from renewable sources if transmitting electrical installations, power lines, and transformer stations for free; 2) allow cumulative deductions up to 20,000 Moldovan lei (US$1,179) annually for the educational and professional expenses of individuals and their dependent children; 3) extend, through 2026 inclusive from 2025, the measure allowing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to defer income tax payment in the event of non-distribution of dividends, and revising the SME criteria ...
