Moldova Tax Agency Announces Draft Amendments on Natural Gas, Electricity Updates to VAT Declaration

The Moldovan State Tax Service Sept. 23 announced a draft order to update the VAT declaration with respect to specific natural gas and electricity purchases, for import or domestic procurement. The draft order includes measures to: 1) establish the VAT declaration method for purchases by taxable persons with trader status, for energy products and services to which the VAT simplification regime through the reverse charge mechanism applies; 2) include new requirements concerning the declaration of electricity and natural gas imports, procurements, and access services to energy networks, obtained from nonresidents; and 3) establish the method of reflecting deductible VAT for ...
