Montenegro Releases Draft Bill to Amend VAT Law

The Montenegrin Government Aug. 15 released a draft bill to amend the VAT Law. The bill includes measures to amend: 1) the category of goods, services, and imports subject to the reduced 7 percent rate, which includes basic products for human consumption and drugs; 2) the category of goods, services, and imports subject to the reduced 15 percent rate, which includes books and accommodation services; 3) the category of goods and services that are VAT-exempt upon import; and 4) other rates.
