Myanmar Extends Import Tax Waiver on LNG, Diesel, Fertilizers

Myanmar extended tax waiver on import of liquefied natural gas, high-speed diesel and fertilizers by one month as part of measures to help stabilize prices driven by ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

  • The order on Thursday, extends the exemption of customs duty, special commodity tax, commercial tax, and a 2% advance income tax until May 31, according to the Ministry of Finance and Revenue
