The Nebraska Governor signed a law expanding the Nebraska Money Transmitters Act to restrict foreign adversary persons from obtaining money transmitter licenses and imposing a 25 percent excise tax on certain remittance transfers to foreign adversary countries effective July 1. The law also enhances protections against financial exploitation of vulnerable adults and senior adults, increases homestead and family allowance amounts for decedents dying after Jan. 1, 2027.
