Netherlands Posts Tax Plan for 2023

The Dutch Ministry of Finance Sept. 28 posted the tax plan for 2023. The tax plan 2023 package includes measures to: 1) increase the lowest corporate tax rate to 19 percent from 15 percent, and lower the income threshold to 200,000 euros (US$197,583) from 395,000 euros (US$345,770), effective 2023; 2) phase out the self-employed tax deduction; 3) lower taxes on labor, raise the minimum wage by more than 10 percent, and increase the employed person’s tax credit; 4) extend the reduced fuel excise tax; 5) tax income from capital on the basis of actual returns and not on fictitious returns, ...
