The Dutch Tax and Customs Administration Sept. 5 announced the Sept. 30 deadline to request refunds of VAT paid in 2022 in another EU country if a return was not filed in that country. The announcement applies to: 1) refunds associated with purchases of goods and services in other EU countries; and 2) VAT paid in other EU countries on imports of goods from a non-EU countries. The Tax Agency will forward refund requests to other EU countries. Late requests might not be processed and taxpayers are encouraged not to wait to file requests.
