Nevada Tax Commission Adopts Regulation for Non-Resident Alcoholic Beverage Producers

The Nevada Tax Commission has adopted a regulation relating to alcoholic beverages produced outside of Nevada. The regulation requires out-of-state producers of alcoholic beverages who use warehouses, bonded warehouses, or logistics companies to facilitate importation into Nevada to obtain a certificate of compliance from the Department of Taxation and designate these entities as their agents. It also requires the out-of-state producers, not their designated agents, to furnish monthly reports to the Department detailing the quantity and type of liquor sold and shipped to licensed Nevada importers.
