New Companies Could Get More Time to Report Ownership Info

Newly formed companies could get additional time to report their ownership information under new rules that take effect next year, but details aren’t yet known.

A proposed rule that would extend the deadline for companies created or registered in 2024 to report their “beneficial ownership” information was sent Monday to the White House’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs for review, according to OIRA’s website.
