New Jersey Tax Court Grants Tax Division’s Motion to Enforce Settlement Agreement

The New Jersey Tax Court issued a decision denying taxpayer’s motion for attorney’s fees and costs and granted the Division of Taxation’s motion to enforce a settlement agreement in a tax dispute. The Division of Taxation audited taxpayer and assessed tax deficiencies against taxpayer for tax years 2010 through 2013, and taxpayer challenged the audit results. In February 2025, the parties informed the court they had reached a settlement where the Division would accept monies already paid and collected in full satisfaction of the liabilities.
