New Zealand Clarifies Taxes on Income From Online Content

New Zealand’s tax authority wants YouTubers, Instagram influencers, and others who make money from creating online content to know that gifts and donations may count as income that must be reported if it exceeds $200 in a year.

Inland Revenue’s Interpretation Statement Tuesday came in response to requests from content creators and their tax advisers, the agency said.
