Nomura Crypto Unit Poaches Three of Galaxy’s Derivatives Traders

Nomura Holdings Inc.’s digital-assets subsidiary Laser Digital has recruited a trio of derivatives traders from Mike Novogratz’s Galaxy Digital, as the crypto options market booms.

Laser has in recent weeks hired John Kim, who headed up Galaxy’s derivatives unit from Hong Kong, as well as Celine Choi and Luca Invernizzi, a vice president and trader on the same team, according to people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to discuss the moves publicly.

A representative for Laser declined to comment. Kim, Choi and Invernizzi did not respond to requests for comment through LinkedIn.
