New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) plans to nominate Muriel Goode-Trufant to lead the city’s law department as corporation counsel, after the nomination of Randy Mastro ran into opposition from the city council.
Adams’ administration is embroiled in controversy. Adams has been indicted on federal bribery charges, and several staffers, including lawyers, have left the administration in recent months amid multiple federal probes.
