The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) April 21 announced that: 1) Belize deposited its ratification instrument for the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI), signed Jan. 11, 2019; and 2) Cameroon deposited its ratification instrument for the MLI, signed July 11, 2017. The MLIs will enter into force Aug. 1 for both the countries. The OECD also announced that Japan has notified the MLI application to an additional bilateral treaty with Thailand.
