The OECD expects to establish an “inclusive forum” of countries working on carbon mitigation approaches by year-end, but doesn’t expect it to result in a firm international agreement on carbon pricing, the group’s tax chief said Thursday.
The OECD’s role as an organization will likely be gathering data and facilitating an international conversation on the topic, said Pascal Saint-Amans, director of the OECD’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration.
