OECD Pillar Two Draft Skips Decision on How to Treat GILTI (1)

The OECD is nearing answers on some key issues on the organization-led plans for a global minimum tax, but it hasn’t yet addressed how the rules would affect companies subject to similar rules in the U.S. or the tax’s rate.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is working to get nearly 140 countries to agree to overhaul global tax rules and agreements to address concerns about how big technology companies are taxed. The effort could upend decades-old global tax norms.
