OECD Pitches Plan to Curb Tax Feuds Between Companies, Countries

The OECD may have found a way to limit costly drawn-out disputes between tax authorities and multinational companies as it leads an effort to overhaul how the digital economy is taxed.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is trying to get nearly 140 countries to agree to a rewrite of global tax rules, in response to concerns that tech giants like Alphabet Inc.'s Google and Facebook Inc. aren’t paying enough tax in the countries where they have users.
