Countries agreed to push back a deadline to sign a multilateral treaty that’s part of the international tax pact until mid-2024, citing further work needed to resolve remaining issues over provisions in the text, the OECD announced Monday.

In a two-paragraph statement from the Inclusive Framework—a group of delegates involved in the global deal negotiations—countries agreed to finalize a text of the multilateral treaty by March 2024 “with a view” of holding a signing ceremony by June 2024.
