OECD’s Corwin Cites ‘Significant’ Progress in Global Tax Treaty (1)

Countries working on the global tax deal have made significant progress on the text of a multilateral treaty and have delivered it to the organization’s technical group, a top tax official said Friday.

Chairs of the steering group for the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework delivered the text of the 2021 deal’s multilateral convention, also known as Amount A, to the task force on the digital economy, said Manal Corwin, director of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Center for Tax Policy and Administration. The Task Force on the Digital Economy is a technical group working on the text.
