Oklahoma Exempts Firearm, Gun Safety Devices From Sales Tax

The Oklahoma legislature passed a law exempting firearm safety devices and gun safety devices from state sales and use taxes. Firearm safety devises under the law include gun cases, gun lock boxes, trigger locks, barrel locks, or other devices designed to be used to store firearms and that are designed to be unlocked only by means of a key, combination, or other similar means. The law takes effect Nov. 1. [S.B. 50, enacted 05/29/25]
